The Thermo Form process begins with the tool forming of the substrate to create blister pockets which are then filled with product.
Following splice detection checks the plain or printed foil is then sealed onto the substrate. Batch and Expiry Date codes are then embossed onto the blisters which are then cropped into shape. Automatic checks are made to ensure that the blister contains the exact number of capsules or tablets required and failures are rejected as part of the standard process.
Bulk supply blisters are then packed into shippers. Blisters to be packed into cartons, at this stage, pass into a feed magazine for insertion into pre coded or on-line coded cartons along with auto insertion of Patient Information Leaflets. The completed cartons are then check weighed to ensure that the correct number of blisters and leaflets are packed ready for despatch.
